In March 2016, Conergy connected to the grid a 15 megawatt (MWp) solar power plant in San Ildefonso, Bulacan which is owned by Bulacan Solar Energy Corp., a joint venture between Amstrong Asset Management and CleanTech Global Renewables Inc.

“This is one of the few solar farms that has been built in Bulacan and we are thankful that solar energy is being welcomed in the province. We are both excited and proud to expand the RE sector in the country, and offer the use of solar power to Bulakenyos,” said Alexander Lenz, CEO, Conergy Asia & Middle East.

“We are very grateful to have been selected for this first project with Bulacan Solar Energy Corp. and offer our high performance photovoltaic solutions that have been proven and tested with customers across the Philippines. Our clientele has increased this year and we are grateful for the growing list of companies that have been entrusting Conergy with their solar energy needs. All our solar plants in the country and abroad have been receiving the same excellent service that Conergy promises, and this site in Bulacan is no exception,” added Lenz.

Conergy offers comprehensive solar services for large scale PV plants which include project development & finance, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and consulting services for operations and maintenance (O&M) support to ensure the optimal operations of solar PV systems across their entire lifetime.

This new site occupies a land area of 228,700 square meters and is producing 20,409 megawatt hours per annum. This amount of energy powers up the equivalent of 8,504 households in Bulacan each year and saves up to 12,510 tons of carbon emissions (CO2).

The project was completed and commissioned in March 2016 and qualified for the feed-in-tariff of 8.69 pesos/kwh.
