  • Be the Finance business partner for the Country Head and Head of Business Development Japan and the project delivery organisation, supporting their needs and being the key interface into the Finance organization as a trusted go-to person for all financial matters

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of contracts throughout their lifecycle, including communication, monitoring performance, timelines, variations, amendments, extensions, and terminations as necessary.
  • Own the complete contract management function and ensure contractual performance of BLE’s contracting counterparties and compliance with contractual obligations of BLE and our counterparties from contract signing to completion.
  • Identify, assess, and manage contractual risks associated with renewable energy projects.
  • Track contractual obligations of BLE’s contractual counterparties and draft and manage verbal and written communications, including contractual notices, variations, non-compliance reports, responses, or legal actions, in alignment with internal teams, particularly with project and construction management, supply chain, and legal and investment departments of BLE.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and work closely with stakeholders to address potential issues.
  • Work to resolve disputes and conflicts that may arise during the execution of contracts.

  • Proven work experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role with 12+ years of experience. This includes demonstrated track record of successful management of closed contracts as well as involvement in contract drafting, negotiation, and closing renewable energy project contracts in India.
  • Proven track record in EPC, construction and vendor variation and dispute resolution management.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing contracts under the split contracts model and ability to identify interface risks and device mitigation plans, including handling multiple stakeholders and contracts.
  • Excellent legal and techno-commercial knowledge of renewable energy transactions.
  • Excellent written and conversational English and the ability to communicate with key stakeholders in Hindi are musts.
