建築ソリューションのリーディングカンパニーであるHolcim Philippinesは、同社のサステナビリティパフォーマンスをさらに高めるため、再生可能エネルギーに取り組んでいる先進的企業ブルーリーフ・エナジーと20年間のPPA（電力購入契約）を締結し、BulacanとLa Unionの工場に太陽光発電を供給します。
この契約により、ブルーリーフ・エナジーは、Bulacan州NorzagarayおよびLa Union州Bacnotanで合計29MWp、年間発電量50GWh以上の太陽光発電所の資金調達、建設、運用、保守を行い、2地域に所在する工場のエネルギー需要の最大15%を供給することになります。完工は2024年を予定しており、このパートナーシップにより、Holcim Philippinesの電力コストとCO2排出量の大幅な削減が期待されています。両者は2021年11月16日に調印式を行いました。
この契約は、Holcim Philippinesのセメント生産における持続可能なクリーンエネルギーへの移行を示すものであります。セメント製造はエネルギー集約型であるため、再生可能エネルギーへの転換により、同社による天然資源の保護およびCO2排出量の削減がさらに加速化します。
